About Me

Aspiring engineer. International writer. Fluent babbler.

Hello, my name is Claire and I am an engineer and a writer. Well...I'm aspiring to be. Currently I am in my second year of university studying Aerospace Engineering, which means I don't have much of a social life at the moment, especially when you throw in having a part-time internship at Vulcan To The Sky Trust, having a weekend job as a waitress at a hotel, and now studying towards my British Sign Language Level 1.

As much as I may sometimes complain about being so busy, I love it, and I can make a promise that I won't be slowing down once I graduate. I am determined to be at least trilingual by the time I'm 35, and I want to delve into bio-medical engineering a little at some point in my life. I aspire to do a lot in my life, and I will do whatever I can to meet as many of my longtime goals as possible.

I am a fierce supporter of equality, and believe that it should work both ways, which is why I'm only half-joking when I say to people, "I'm a feminist, but I'm also a mascinist [made-up word for supporting the male gender]". I also aim to do a lot of work for people with autism and people with depression, both of which are very personal to me.

There's a lot I want to do for the world, and hopefully I can one day fulfill these wishes. Until then, I have my blog, and from there who knows where these piranha-infested waters may take me.
